It follows their wrapping up a second successive top flight Tippeligaen title by a 15-point margin.
Gersbach was introduced in the 82nd minute in the left-back's 20th appearance since joining the club from Sydney FC in January.
The 19-year-old was clearly delighted, posting an Instagram snap of himself holding the Cup alongside the caption "Double Trouble".
Former Melbourne Victory left-back Dylan Murnane was an unused substitute for Kongsvinger.
Meanwhile Trent Sainsbury's club Jiangsu Suning are in a strong position to win the Chinese Cup final after a first-leg away 1-1 draw with Chinese Super League champions Guangzhou Evergrande.
Ricardo Goulart opened Guangzhou's account early on before big-money Brazilian signing Alex Teixeira equalised in the second half.
Jiangsu will host the second leg in Nanjing on Sunday.
In Germany's second flight, goalkeeper Mitch Langerak continued to press his case for a Socceroos start by playing 90 minutes in VfB Stuttgart's 1-1 draw with Union Berlin.
Australia's first-choice gloveman Mat Ryan was again a no show on Valencia's team sheet for Sunday's 1-1 draw with La Liga cellar dwellers Granada.
