Man City complete Gabriel Jesus signing
Jan 20, 2017 - 9:11 AM Manchester City have completed the signing of teenage winger Gabriel Jesus from Brazilian club Palmeiras. The clubs agreed a STG27 million ($A44 million) deal back in August but the 19-year-old remained at Palmeiras for the rest of the domestic season, helping them win their first league title since 1994.
Jesus, who could make his Premier League debut against Tottenham on Saturday, said he's looking forward to playing for City manager Pep Guardiola.
"I want to win titles and Manchester City is a club that is used to winning," he said on City's website.
"City is a club that always competes for the title in the competitions it enters, so that was an important factor, and because of the manager, Guardiola, and the squad."
Jesus scored 28 goals in 85 matches for Palmeiras, including a team-best 12 last season.
