Harry Kane to miss Man United clash
Oct 27, 2017 - 10:27 AM Tottenham striker Harry Kane will miss the Spurs Premier League game at Manchester United with a hamstring injury, manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed. The in-form 24-year-old originally injured himself at Wembley last Sunday in the 4-1 win over Liverpool. He left the field holding his upper leg in the 87th minute after scoring twice.
Spurs confirmed on Twitter that the England frontman has been diagnosed with a "minor strain to the left hamstring".
But Pochettino said at his pre-match press conference on Friday that Kane would not be involved at Old Trafford.
"We can't take the risk," the Argentinian said.
"The doctor and medical staff made the decision to not take the risk.
"There is no sense in taking that risk and making the problem bigger."
Kane has scored 13 goals in 12 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season.
Tottenham are currently third in the league, trailing second-placed Man United on goal difference and five points behind leaders Manchester City.
