Sep 15, 2013 - 2:25 AM Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Maya Moore turned in a solid performance with 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Minnesota Lynx defeated the Chicago Sky 79-66 in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Lindsay Whalen led the Lynx with 23 points, 18 of which came in the first half. Minnesota finished with the West's best record (26-8), winning eight of their final nine games. The win helped the Lynx grab home-court advantage throughout the postseason.

Sylvia Fowles posted 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Sky, who finished on top of the East despite the loss. Elena Delle Donne scored 14 points as the Sky's three-game winning streak was snapped.

The Lynx led 45-34 at the end of the first half and never looked back. The Sky only trailed by six in the third thanks to an 11-4 run, but timely 3-pointers from Moore and Whalen kept Minnesota on top.
