New York storms back to beat Indiana
Jul 24, 2013 - 1:20 AM Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Cappie Pondexter had 24 points to lead the New York Liberty to a 77-72 come-from-behind win against the Indiana Fever.Pondexter had eight points in the final 2:01, including a go-ahead three that put the Liberty up for good with just over two minutes left.
Plenette Pierson added 14 points and 11 rebounds and Alex Montgomery chimed in with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Liberty, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Briann January scored 21 points to lead the Fever, who had their three-game win streak come to a halt.
Indiana led by as many as 16 early in the second half, but New York outscored Indiana, 29-19, in the fourth quarter to earn the win.
