Perkins lifts Sky to double-OT win

Jun 30, 2007 - 5:00 AM SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- Jia Perkins scored a season-high 39 points and dished out 10 assists to lead the Chicago Sky to a 92-84 double-overtime victory over the Sacramento Monarchs.

Perkins, who shot 17-of-24 from the floor, tied the game, 74-74, with a 3-pointer with five seconds remaining in regulation.

Perkins recorded her 10th assist at the end of the first overtime when she found Candice Dupree for a layup to tie the game, 80-80, with one tick left.

The Sky finished the game on an 8-0 run and held the Monarchs scoreless for the last 2 1/2 minutes of the second overtime.

Dupree and Armintie Price each added 16 points for Chicago, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Sacramento, which snapped a three-game home winning streak, was led by Adrian Williams, who scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
