Cash helps Shock top Sky
Aug 4, 2007 - 5:01 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Swin Cash scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lift the Detroit Shock to their fourth straight win, a 66-60 triumph over the Chicago Sky on Friday.Cash shot 6-of-10 from the floor and dished out six assists. Reserve Plenette Pierson added 15 points and six rebounds for the Shock, who have won 11 of their last 12 en route to posting a league-best 22-6 record.
Kara Braxton scored 12 points and Deanna Nolan added 11 for Detroit, which shot 47 percent (26-of-55) from the field without guard Katie Smith.
The Sky were led by Jia Perkins, who came off the bench to register 19 points and seven rebounds.
Stacey Dales had 14 points and Armintie Price added nine for the Chicago (12-16), which shot just 34 percent (23-of-67) in its third loss in four contests.
