Lynx dominate Shock
Jul 1, 2011 - 2:48 AM Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Lindsay Whalen dropped in a game-high 21 points and added five assists as the Minnesota Lynx easily handled the Tulsa Shock with a 101-71 victory.Candace Wiggins added 18 points off the bench, going 5-for-7 from beyond the arc, and Maya Moore chipped in with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Ivory Latta led Tulsa with 13 points and Kayla Pederson and Tiffany Jackson dropped in 12 and 11, respectively. But the Shock couldn't do much against the Lynx's defense, shooting just 38.1 percent from the field and 28 percent from three-point range.
The Lynx scored the first eight points of the contest and the Shock rallied to tie it at 10, but that would be the only time Minnesota did not have the lead in the game.
