Mann, Ohlde lead Lynx past Sparks

Jun 17, 2007 - 2:13 AM MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Kristen Mann scored 16 points and Nicole Ohlde added 15 as the Minnesota Lynx posted an 83-58 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday.

Svetlana Abrosimova had 14 points, five rebounds and six assists and Seimone Augustus - the WNBA's leading scorer - scored 12 for Minnesota (3-9), which has won back-to-back games for the first time in over a year. The Lynx, who last won two in a row from June 9-11, 2006, are 3-2 in their last five games after beginning the season with seven straight losses.

Mann, who was 6-of-9 from the floor, tied her career high with four 3-pointers in seven attempts. Her accuracy from the arc helped provide the Lynx with their largest margin of victory since a 114-71 thumping of the Sparks on May 31, 2006.

Rookie Lindsey Harding scored 11 points for Minnesota, which shot 49 percent (29-of-59) and saw all five starters reach double digits in scoring.

LaToya Thomas scored 13 points and reserve Murriel Page added 10 for Los Angeles (5-3), which shot 38 percent (22-of-58) and saw its three-game winning streak end.
