Milton-Jones leads Mystics past Sky
Jun 24, 2007 - 2:38 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- DeLisha Milton-Jones scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Washington Mystics posted a 99-86 victory over the Chicago Sky on Saturday.Alana Beard had 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Nikki Teasley scored 15 points for Washington (3-10), which has won three of five after starting the season, 0-8.
Milton Jones, who connected on 8-of-14 from the floor, made a 3-pointer with 6:58 left in the second quarter that capped a 7-0 run to put the Mystics in front, 33-22. Washington led, 46-36, at halftime.
Beard scored all of her points in the second half for the Mystics, who shot 58 percent (37-of-64).
Candice Dupree scored 26 points and Chasity Melvin had 14 and nine rebounds for Chicago (6-7), which has lost two straight.
