Augustus takes over as Lynx edge Silver Stars

Jun 30, 2007 - 2:53 AM SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- Seimone Augustus scored 29 points and Nicole Ohlde added 14 as the Minnesota Lynx used hot shooting en route to a 77-66 victory over the San Antonio Silver Stars on Friday night.

Lindsey Harding netted 11 points for the Lynx (5-10), who shot 52.5 percent (31-of-59) from the floor and dished out 17 assists.

Augustus had a stellar all-around game, shooting 12-of-19 from the field, nailing all five of her free throws and grabbing nine rebounds for Minnesota, which outscored San Antonio, 22-14, in the second quarter to take control of the game.

Sophia Young scored 17 points for the Silver Stars (8-6), who shot 39 percent (26-of-67).
