Snow powers Comets past Lynx
Jul 12, 2007 - 6:47 PM HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Michelle Snow scored 24 points to lead the Houston Comets to an 87-77 victory over the Minnesota Lynx in a battle of the WNBA's two worst teams on Thursday.Snow was 8-for-14 from the floor and grabbed nine rebounds for Houston (6-14).
Tina Thompson added 22 points and Tamecka Dixon scored 15 points off the bench for the Comets, who thwarted a late Lynx run to win for the fifth time on their home court.
Seimone Augustus, an All-Star reserve, netted 24 points on 11-for-25 shooting for the Lynx (5-16), who have lost six in a row.
Houston starting forward Sancho Lyttle left the game in the first quarter with back spasms. She did not return.
