Jun 29, 2013 - 3:50 AM Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Angel McCoughtry poured in a game-high 21 points to go with six rebounds and five assists as the Atlanta Dream downed the Washington Mystics, 86-75, on Friday.Alex Bentley added 17 points while Tiffany Hayes and Erika de Souza finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Dream, who improved to a WNBA- best 9-1.
Monique Currie scored 20 points while Ivory Latta and Emma Meesseman each chipped in with 12 points for the Mystics, losers in five straight.
Washington scored the game's first 10 points, but Atlanta led 20-18 after the first quarter and took a 39-28 lead into the break. The Dream's lead swelled to 21 points early in the final frame and never dipped below 11 the rest of the way.
Bentley has hit her last 10 3-point shots, breaking the WNBA record previously held by Diana Taurasi.
