Dream hang on to beat Sun
Jul 25, 2013 - 1:38 AM Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Angel McCoughtry had a game-high 22 points to help lead the Atlanta Dream to a 74-65 win over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday night.Alex Bentley added 17 points while Erika de Souza had a double-double effort with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Dream, who extended their regular- season home win streak to 13 games while snapping a four-game overall skid.
Tina Charles, the reigning league MVP, finished with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Kalana Greene contributed 14 points for the Sun, who have lost three straight.
The Sun were down 40-20 at halftime, but they rallied and got the margin down to five with just under a minute to go in the fourth quarter. The Dream held off the Sun by making 8-of-12 free throws in the final minute.
