Braxton, Liberty down Mystics
Aug 1, 2013 - 1:29 AM Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Kara Braxton's game-high 22 points and eight rebounds sent New York to an 88-78 victory over Washington on Wednesday.Cappie Pondexter chipped in with 19 and nine assists, while Kelsey Bone totaled 15 points and 11 boards for the Liberty, who had dropped four of five coming in.
Matee Avajon posted 20 points for the Mystics, who received 11 points each in defeat from Ivory Latta and Emma Meesseman.
Bone's bucket with just under eight minutes left in the contest pushed New York ahead by a 63-62 margin, kicking off a game-changing 13-2 run which ended on Pondexter's triple for a 74-64 advantage.
