Augustus guides Minnesota to eighth straight win
Aug 3, 2013 - 2:31 AM Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Seimone Augustus scored 18 points to lead the Minnesota Lynx to a 85-63 win against the San Antonio Silver Stars.Augustus knocked down 9-of-14 shots from the field and grabbed six rebounds to lead Minnesota to its eighth straight win.
Maya Moore chipped in with 16 points and six rebounds for Minnesota, while Monica Wright added 14 points.
Shameka Christon led San Antonio with 15 points, but the Silver Stars lost for the eighth time in 11 games.
Minnesota controlled the paint, outscoring Minnesota, 50-22, and won the rebound battle, 43-29.
