Tulsa shocks Los Angeles behind Cambage
Aug 3, 2013 - 3:14 AM Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Liz Cambage struck for a game-high 28 points to go with eight rebounds as Tulsa took down Los Angeles, 96-89, on Friday.Glory Johnson added 17 point and six boards for the Shock, while Candice Wiggins contributed 18 points in the hosts' fourth win in five outings.
Kristi Toliver totaled 23 points, while both Marissa Coleman and Nneka Ogwumike picked up 17 for the Sparks, who stumbled to their third loss in four.
Tulsa jumped out to a nine-point lead after one quarter of play, then upped that edge to as much as 12 early in the second before taking a 42-31 edge to the break.
Los Angeles got within two early in the third, but a 10-3 burst opened things up again for the hosts. The Shock kept the Sparks at arm's length the rest of the way.
