Delle Donne helps Sky down Mystics

Aug 21, 2013 - 1:40 AM Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Elena Delle Donne led the way with 24 points for the Chicago Sky in a 79-73 victory over the Washington Mystics.

Delle Donne also posted eight boards and three assists in her return to the Chicago lineup after sitting two games with a sprained left foot.

Courtney Vandersloot scored 19 points and Sylvia Fowles had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Sky, who have won three straight games.

Center Kia Vaughn contributed a season-high 21 points for the Mystics who have lost two in a row.

Washington led by four at the half, but Chicago pulled away in the final three minutes to solidify the win. The Mystics trailed by 70-68 with less than two minutes remaining before Vandersloot hit a crucial three-pointer to extend Chicago's lead and help put the Sky past the Mystics.
