Phoenix shocks Tulsa
Aug 21, 2013 - 2:55 AM Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Diana Taurasi sank four key free throws in the final 15.8 seconds, capping a game-best 28-point performance, as Phoenix got past Tulsa, 89-86, on Tuesday.Candice Dupree added 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Brittney Griner poured in 15 points and 10 boards for the Mercury, who finished off a four-game sweep of their Western Conference rivals.
Riquna Williams totaled 23 points and Liz Cambage picked up 21 with a game- high 13 rebounds for the Shock, who have dropped four of five.
Skylar Diggins completed a 3-point play to bring the Shock to 84-81 with just over 16 seconds remaining, but Taurasi sank all four of her attempts, sandwiched around a Diggins lay-in, to provide an 88-83 edge for the visitors.
Williams drained a trey that only got the Shock within two inside of four seconds to play, then Griner added one from the charity stripe to seal it. Williams missed a last-second shot.
