Mystics take charge in fourth to top Dream
Aug 24, 2013 - 1:57 AM Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Monique Currie dropped 15 points for the Washington Mystics in a 74-64 win over the Atlanta Dream.Currie also posted seven boards and three steals. Kia Vaughn added 12 points and 10 rebounds as the Mystics finally beat the Dream. The Dream won the previous nine contests between the two teams.
Forward Angel McCoughtry scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Dream, who had their three-game win streak snapped.
The Dream led 51-50 at the end of the third, but the Mystics roared ahead with a 14-1 run to take command of the game. Ivory Latta scored 10 of her 14 points with two three-pointers during this run to secure the victory.
