Aug 25, 2013 - 11:09 PM Uncasville, CT (Sports Network) - Plenette Pierson had 18 points, Cappie Pondexter scored 14 and the New York Liberty snapped a lengthy slide in Connecticut with a 74-66 win over the Sun.Katie Smith added 13 points for the Liberty, who avoided a season-high fourth consecutive loss by snapping a seven-game skid in Connecticut.
Kelsey Griffin paced the Sun with game-highs of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Tina Charles supplied 18 points and nine boards in the Sun's fourth straight defeat.
