Parker, Sparks down Shock
Sep 7, 2013 - 2:55 AM Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Candace Parker had 20 points and nine rebounds in the Los Angeles Sparks' 74-70 win over the Tulsa Shock.Nneka Ogwumike netted 16 points, while Lindsey Harding added 11 points and 10 assists for the Sparks, who snapped a brief two-game slide.
Glory Johnson tallied 19 points and six boards for Tulsa, which has dropped three of its last four tilts.
Los Angeles was trailing by a point heading into the fourth quarter, but outscored the Shock, 22-17, in the final frame to seal the outcome.
The Sparks began the fourth on a 9-3 surge to seize control. Ogwumike made a layup and two free throws before Kristi Toliver nailed a triple to cap the run and make it 61-56 in favor of LA.
Tulsa never got within less than two the rest of the way.
