Bass' late layup lifts Sun over Dream
Sep 12, 2013 - 1:41 AM Uncasville, CT (Sports Network) - Mistie Bass made a layup with 11.4 seconds remaining to lift the Connecticut Sun over the Atlanta Dream, 78-77, on Wednesday.Bass ended with 15 points, six rebounds and two blocks for the last-place Sun, who have won two of three since a seven-game skid. Renee Montgomery tallied 14 points, seven assists and three steals.
Angel McCoughtry ended with 23 points, 10 boards and seven assists for the Dream, who sit second in the Eastern Conference with two games to go. Erika de Souza and Jasmine Thomas added 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Thomas' jumper with 12.7 seconds left put the Dream up by one, 77-76. Bass responded with an alley-oop layup to put the Sun back in front.
