Adams leads Silver Stars in rout of Dream
Sep 15, 2013 - 11:26 PM San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Danielle Adams poured in a game-high 39 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the San Antonio Silver Stars crushed the Atlanta Dream 97-68 on Sunday.Shameka Christon added 24 points and Shenise Johnson added 20 for the Silver Stars (12-22).
Alex Bentley scored 17 points and Ruth Riley added 10 off the bench for the Dream (17-17), who hold the second seed in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta will face the Washington Mystics in the first round of the playoffs.
San Antonio led 24-20 after the first quarter and took a 55-38 lead into the break.
The Silver Stars outscored Atlanta 20-10 in the third to make it 75-48 before coasting to the finish.
