Dales, Sky crush Comets
Jul 30, 2007 - 12:41 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Stacey Dales scored 18 points as the Chicago Sky cruised to an 88-70 triumph over the Houston Comets on Sunday.Dales shot 5-of-9 from the 3-point arc and Chasity Melvin added 12 points and five rebounds for the Sky, who have won four of their last five after losing five straight.
Jia Perkins scored 11 of her 13 points in the first half en route to Chicago taking a 47-27 advantage into the break.
The Sky shot 49 percent (32-of-65) and registered their largest margin of victory in team history.
Barbara Turner collected 11 points in under 20 minutes and Tina Thompson added 10 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Comets, who shot just 39 percent (24-of-61) and committed 21 turnovers which led to 33 points.
