Milton-Jones' double-double lifts Mystics over Sky

Aug 5, 2007 - 11:49 PM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Delisha Milton-Jones scored 20 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out six assists on Sunday as the Washington Mystics beat the Chicago Sky, 71-66.

Milton-Jones recorded her second double-double in as many games, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a 80-68 win against the New York Liberty on August 3. She has three double-doubles on the season.

Mystic leading scorer Alana Beard scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds as Washington beat Chicago for the fourth straight time this season.

Candice Dupree, the Sky's leading scorer and All-Star, contributed 18 points and seven rebounds after missing the Sky's last game while attending her grandmother's funeral in Florida.

The Sky have dropped four of their last five games. With the win, Washington (12-15) moved in front of the Sky (12-17) for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with two weeks left in the season.

The loss by Chicago clinches a playoff spot for the Indiana Fever (17-11), who are currently second in the Eastern Conference.
