Dream hold off Sparks

Jun 4, 2014 - 1:47 AM Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Erika de Souza tallied 27 points and 11 rebounds to help the Atlanta Dream to a 93-85 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday.

Sancho Lyttle had 18 points with 12 rebounds and Angel McCoughtry added 14 points and five assists for the Dream, who are a game above .500 at 4-3.

Jantel Lavender posted 21 points and Nneka Ogwumike scored 19 points with 12 rebounds for the Sparks, who are off to their worst start in four years.

The Dream used a 14-0 run in the middle of the second quarter and took a 46-43 advantage into the break, increasing the lead to 75-65 at the end of the third.

An Ogwumike layup pulled the Sparks within one with 3:20 left to play but that's as close as they would come. De Souza answered quickly with a layup at the other end and Lyttle was clutch from the charity stripe, making all four of her free throws in the final 20 seconds to seal the win.
