Jun 4, 2014 - 4:39 AM Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Diana Taurasi scored 20 points to lead the Phoenix Mercury to an 87-72 win over the Seattle Storm on Tuesday.Brittney Griner and Candice Dupree each posted 19-point, eight-rebound efforts for the Mercury, who have won four of five to open the season.
Crystal Langhorne paced the Storm with 27 points to go along with eight rebounds.
Seattle has dropped three of its last four and six of eight to open the season.
Temeka Johnson's jumper helped the visitors to a 20-18 lead after the first quarter.
Phoenix led by one when Dupree knocked in two buckets to start a 10-2 swing that gave the Mercury a 40-31 lead late in the second.
Phoenix led by as many as 17 in the second half and were never threatened as it won going away.
