Dietz's arm lifts Storm over Force
Mar 8, 2008 - 6:03 AM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Brett Dietz threw for seven touchdowns as the Tampa Bay Storm rolled to a 69-48 win over the Georgia Force on Friday.Dietz finished 21-of-34 for 190 yards and spread the wealth as Terrill Shaw, Hank Edwards and Sedrick Robinson each had a pair of touchdown catches.
Edwards led the way with seven receptions for 82 yards - including the final touchdown strike from Dietz with 1:35 left in the game.
The Storm (2-0) picked off Georgia quarterback Chris Greisen twice, with Tom Briggs returning one interception one yard for a touchdown to give his team a 48-27 lead with 2:15 remaining left in the third quarter.
Greisen completed 30-of-42 passes for 319 yards with five touchdowns and two rushing scores.
Carl Morris had 13 receptions for 133 yards and three touchdowns, while Troy Bergeron recorded 12 catches for 138 yards and two scores for the Force (0-2).
