Graziani, Soul rout Kats
Mar 10, 2007 - 8:03 AM NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Tony Graziani threw five touchdown passes, including two in the third quarter, to lead the Philadelphia Soul to a season-opening 63-30 victory over the Nashville Kats.Philadelphia (1-0) led, 21-16, at the half and pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Nashville, 21-0, to take a 42-16 lead.
Graziani, who completed 14-of-21 passes for 215 yards, threw TD passes to Sean Scott and Larry Brackins in the third quarter and connected with Charles Pauley for a 27-yard score 20 seconds into the fourth quarter to make it 49-16.
Clint Stoerner was 12-of-24 for 131 yards and a TD for Nashville (0-2). Jeff Smoker came on late in the game and completed 9-of-16 passes for 121 yards and two TDs.
Cornelius Bonner had seven receptions for 119 yards and two TDs for the Kats.
