Dietz's five touchdowns lead Storm to win
May 7, 2007 - 2:04 AM AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Brett Dietz threw five touchdowns to help the Tampa Bay Storm post a 66-45 victory over the Austin Wranglers in an Arena League game on Sunday.It was an efficient afternoon for Dietz, who completed 26-of-32 passes for 286 yards and did not throw an interception.
Dietz's favorite target was Lawrence Samuels, who caught nine passes for 91 yards and three touchdowns. His other receiving threat was not too bad either, as T.T. Tolliver hauled in 10 passes for 135 yards with one score.
Meanwhile, Adrian McPherson threw for four touchdowns but completed just 19-of-45 passes with two interceptions for the Wranglers, who managed just 13 first downs as they converted 1-of-9 third-down attempts.
Derrick Lewis was on the receiving end of all four of McPherson's touchdown passes and finished with 10 catches for 216 yards.
