Rattlers fire coach Nudo
Jun 19, 2007 - 7:57 PM PHOENIX (Ticker) - The Arizona Rattlers on Tuesday fired coach Gene Nudo.Nudo's dismissal comes four days after the Rattlers finished a disappointing 4-12 season with a 66-26 loss to San Jose.
"Our fans expect and deserve team performance that competes at a championship level year in and year out," Rattlers president Blake Edwards said. "We are committed on delivering on those expectations."
Nudo went 13-21 overall in two seasons, guiding the club to the American Conference semifinals in 2006.
"Although our record wasn't what it should have been, I am proud to have been associated with this group of players, some of who will be future stars of the AFL," Nudo said.
