Garcia's seven TD passes help Dragons cruise past Rampage
Apr 6, 2008 - 4:29 AM UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- Aaron Garcia tossed seven touchdown passes and ran for another as the New York Dragons routed the Grand Rapids Rampage, 63-34, on Saturday.Garcia completed 26-of-42 attempts for 311 yards and two interceptions for New York (2-4), which snapped a three-game losing streak.
The Dragons raced out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and led 35-0 at halftime as Garcia threw for the first four scores before his two-yard scamper with 3:15 left made the game a blowout. Wide receiver Chris Anthony caught 10 passes for 92 yards and four TDs.
James MacPherson went 16-of-31 for 235 yards and three touchdowns for Grand Rapids (2-3), but also threw four interceptions - three of which were picked by defensive back John Walker.
