Cloke, Magpies to part ways: reports
Aug 29, 2016 - 7:03 PM Speculation that Travis Cloke and Collingwood are set to part ways continues to grow. The out-of-favour forward managed just 13 games this season and was dropped back to the VFL by coach Nathan Buckley three times.
NewsCorp Australia and Channel Nine's Footy Classified both reported on Monday night that Cloke's departure was imminent.
He has been linked with a move to the Western Bulldogs but Buckley denied the 29-year-old had used a routine exit interview at the club on Monday to hand in a trade request.
"The exit interviews we run are focusing on 2016 - what we've learned and where do we go from here," Buckley told Fox Footy's AFL360.
"Clokey's exit interview was no different to any others that were run ... focusing on how he's going to improve on his season."
Cloke still has a year to run on his current deal and Buckley has repeatedly said he expects the veteran of 246 games to see out that contract.
