Lulay leads Lions to road victory over Calgary

Jul 29, 2012 - 5:08 AM Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - Travis Lulay was unstoppable as he led the British Columbia Lions to a 34-8 victory over the Calgary Stampeders in a West Division clash at McMahon Stadium on Saturday.

Lulay completed 30-of-37 attempts for 315 yards and three touchdowns. Lulay kept the defense guessing by spreading the ball out to nine different receivers in the contest and also contributed 41 yards on the ground. Andrew Harris was a duel threat as he rushed for 55 yards and caught five passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns for British Columbia (3-2) as it snapped a two-game losing streak.

Akeem Foster reeled in five passes for a team-high 72 yards with a touchdown. Paul McCallum made all four of his field goal attempts in the winning effort.

A costly fumble by wideout Johnny Forzani on first play of the fourth quarter gave the ball right back to BC and hurt any chance of a comeback. The Lions milked the clock as they drove down the field after the turnover.
