Aug 31, 2013 - 5:24 AM Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Travis Lulay threw for three touchdowns and ran for an additional score to carry the British Columbia Lions to a 29-26 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at BC Place.

CFL-leading passer Henry Burris completed 28-of-35 pass attempts for 340 yards and two scores but was also intercepted once for Hamilton (4-5) which had its three-game winning streak snapped. Greg Ellingson was Burris' favorite target on the night as he caught eight passes for 92 yards and a score.

Lulay's second touchdown pass of the game came soon after as he hooked up with Arceneaux for an 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the next Lions' possession.

With just seven seconds left in the half, and the Lions backed up deep in their own territory, Paul McCallum conceded a safety on a punt attempt.

With the defensive score, the Tiger-Cats pulled closer but still trailed, 14-9, at the half.

Lulay was able to earn his third touchdown pass of the contest early in the third quarter as he connected with Iannuzzi for a 22-yard strike that extended the Lions' advantage to 21-9.

Dan LeFevour pulled the Tiger-Cats closer later in the quarter with a one-yard touchdown run that cut the deficit to 21-16.

The Lions would add a single off a missed 43-yard field goal attempt from McCallum early in the fourth quarter.

A 34-yard field goal from Luca Congi later in the period cut the Lions' lead to just three points.

After a game of throwing touchdowns, Lulay scored one using his legs as he ran in for a two-yard score with six minutes left in the fourth quarter.

After both teams traded turnovers, Hamilton took over at its own 25-yard line with just over three minutes remaining. Burris then led the Tiger-Cats 85 yards down the field and finished the drive with a touchdown pass to Ellingson from two yards out with 25 seconds to play.

However Paris Jackson was able to recover the ensuing onside kick attempt by Congi and with three rushes the Lions ran out the clock to collect the win.
