British Columbia jumped out to a 7-0 lead on the first drive of the game as Lulay hooked up with Harris for a 40-yard touchdown pass.
Near the end of the first frame Cornish was able to score a two-yard rushing touchdown to even the score at 7-7.
The Lions wasted no time in answering as Brown took the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown as the Lions claimed a 14-7 advantage.
Calgary was able to cut into the deficit with a safety midway through the second quarter and then claim its first lead of the game with a 14-yard touchdown pass from Glenn to McDaniel on the ensuing possession.
The Lions wouldn't be behind long though as Thomas DeMarco scored on a one- yard run with 2:43 to play in the first half to push British Columbia ahead 21-16.
Both offenses were quiet for the majority of the third quarter, with a 32-yard field goal from Calgary's Rene Paredes the only score in the period.
Paul McCallum would connected on a 24-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter to push the Lions to a 24-19 lead.
Paredes would bring the Stampeders to within two points with just under four minutes to play with a 30-yard field goal.
Lulay was then intercepted on the Lions' next possession but the Stampeders squandered the opportunity and took a safety to fall behind, 26-22.
Calgary would get another chance however, as it took over possession with 1:37 left in regulation. After a 15-yard pass on the first play of the drive, the Stampeders' stalled and the Lions were able to hold on for the victory.
