Eskimos' White, Lawrence among CFL's best
Nov 18, 2014 - 6:35 PM Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Edmonton Eskimos running back John White and return specialist Kendial Lawrence were among those selected as the CFL's best for the division semifinals.White captured the offensive weekly honor after he ran for 134 yards on 17 carries and caught two passes for 14 yards in Edmonton's 18-10 win over Saskatchewan in the West Division semifinal, while Lawrence was named the top special teams player thanks to his 84-yard punt return for a touchdown. Lawrence finished with 156 combined return yards.
Eskimos defensive lineman Gregory Alexandre was named the top Canadian of the week after he recorded a pair of sacks in the victory.
Montreal defensive back Jerald Brown earned the defensive honor. He collected five tackles with an interception and also returned a fumble 103 yards for a touchdown in the Alouettes' 50-17 East Division semifinal win over British Columbia.
