Shane Watson to miss start of BBL
Dec 6, 2016 - 3:36 AM Sydney Thunder captain Shane Watson is set to miss at least the first two Big Bash League matches due to a calf muscle injury.Watson suffered the injury on the team's tour to New Zealand last week with scans on Monday revealing a low grade strain.
"Shane has commenced a rehabilitation process with the goal of returning to action after Christmas," said Thunder physiotherapist Murray Ryan.
It means Watson will miss the big opening BBL derby clash with Sydney Sixers on December 20 and also an away clash with the Melbourne Renegades on December 22.
