Adam Voges ruled out for two weeks in BBL
Jan 3, 2017 - 9:34 AM Perth Scorchers captain Adam Voges has been ruled out for the next two weeks with a hamstring injury, but he hopes to play again before the BBL finals.Voges injured his hamstring while batting in Sunday's 50-run win over the Sydney Thunder.
An MRI scan revealed a minor aggravation to a pre-existing left hamstring condition.
Voges first hurt his hamstring in the first Test loss to South Africa in November.
The Scorchers hope Voges will be available for the home match against the Melbourne Stars on January 14.
He has struggled badly during the current BBL campaign, posting scores of two, one, one and three not out.
But he remains pivotal to the Scorchers' line-up, especially with Shaun and Mitch Marsh set to earn call-ups for Australia's upcoming ODI series.
The Scorchers sit on top of the table with a 3-1 record and they'll be aiming to continue their hot form in Thursday night's home clash with the Brisbane Heat.
