Reds extend P Marshall through 2015
Feb 27, 2012 - 7:15 PM Goodyear, AZ (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Reds signed pitcher Sean Marshall to a three-year contract extension, aiming to keep the southpaw in southern Ohio through the 2015 season.A towering presence at 6-foot-7, Marshall finished 6-6 with a 2.26 earned run average and five saves in 78 appearances for Chicago a season ago.
The 29-year-old native of Richmond, Virginia has compiled a 32-40 record with a 3.96 ERA and seven saves in 292 games (59 starts) for the Cubs since 2006.
Cincinnati acquired Marshall from the Cubs in December.
