Hannah Green taking on men at WA Open golf
Sep 21, 2017 - 10:00 PM Hannah Green, the rising star of Australian women's golf, will show off her skills against the men in October's WA Open in Perth. It will be a triumphant return to Australia after she landed her 2018 LPGA Tour card with her second victory of the year on the second-tier Symetra Tour.
"I'm really excited to play with the men in October," Green said.
The 20-year-old lives just 10 minutes from the Royal Perth course where the Open will be held from October 19-22.
Her emphatic win at the El Dorado Shootout in Arkansas last weekend came after she shot a course-record 64 in the final-round,
Green, in her rookie season as a professional, is confident she can make the cut at the WA Open.
"Perth is a shorter and quite narrow course, I think that will help me a lot," she said.
"I can't wait to play a tournament in front of my friends and family.
"I'm so pleased I was able to secure my tour card.
"It was sooner than I expected and I feel like there has been a weight lifted off my shoulders."
