VATECH 61, UNC 59NC State vs. Virginia Tech: No. 11 Virginia Tech picked up a comfortable win on Senior Night over NC State at home, 75-62. The Hokies shot a terrific 56.4% from the floor while only allowing the Wolfpack to convert at a 35.9% clip. Elizabeth Kitley picked up a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double in the win to lead all scorers, while Georgia Amoore followed up with 15 points and 11 assists. For the Pack, Aziaha James had a team-high 20 points in the loss.
NCSU 62, VATECH 75Duke vs. Virginia Tech: The No. 11 Virginia Tech Hokies played quite the complete game in their 61-45 win over No. 9 Duke on Thursday. Georgia Amoore and Elizabeth Kitley led the way on the offensive end, hitting timely buckets all night long. Kitley finished the game with 20 points and 11 rebounds while Amoore knocked down 4 three-pointers on her way to 20 points as well. On defense, the Hokies held the Blue Devils to 34% shooting from the floor for the game.
DUKE 45, VATECH 61Virginia Tech vs. NC State: The #11 Hokies went on the road and won big over the #22 Wolfpack, 73-61. It's their first win at NC State in program history. Georgia Amoore and Elizabeth Kitley balled out for Virginia Tech, scoring 52 of the Hokies' 73 points. Amoore scored a game-high 27 points on 11-21 shooting, including 5-11 from three. She also had six assists, three rebounds, a block, and a steal. Kitley had a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds, plus she had three blocks and two assists. For Virginia Tech, Diamond Johnson made 4-7 three-pointers and had 16 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
VATECH 73, NCSU 61Syracuse vs. Virginia Tech: The No.13 Hokies pulled away in the second half to defeat the Orange, 78-64. Elizabeth Kitley tallied 20 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked 3 shots on the night. Georgia Amoore chipped in 15 points and dished out 3 assists for VT. Dyaisha Fair led 'Cuse with 20 points.
SYR 64, VATECH 78Virginia Tech vs. Virginia: The #12 Hokies went on the road and defeated the in-state rival Cavaliers, 72-60. This is the second year in a row that Virginia Tech has swept the season series versus Virginia. The Hokies made 52.9% of their field goal attempts, including shooting 40.0% from three-point range. Kayana Traylor scored a game-high 25 points on 9-15 shooting. Elizabeth Kitley had 16 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. Camryn Taylor led Virginia with 22 points, and London Clarkson added 15 points.
VATECH 72, UVA 60Virginia Tech vs. Duke: The No.16 Blue Devils continued to prove they are for real as they got a convincing 66-55 victory over No.12 Virginia Tech at home. Shayeann Day-Wilson paced Duke with 18 points and Vanessa De Jesus chipped in 10 points. Taylor Soule lead Virginia Tech with 19 points, and Elizabeth Kitley grabbed 13 rebounds to go with 4 points.
VATECH 55, DUKE 66Wake Forest vs. Virginia Tech: The #12 Hokies defeated the Demon Deacons 74-57. Virginia Tech shot 47.4% from the floor and outscored Wake Forest 38-18 on points in the paint. Elizabeth Kitley was unstoppable, scoring 28 points on 12-15 shooting and she grabbed 12 rebounds. Taylor Soule had 16 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Georgia Amoore added 17 points and six assists. Jewel Spear did her best to lift Wake Forest, scoring 27 points.
WAKE 57, VATECH 74Louisville vs. Virginia Tech: No.13 Virginia Tech survived a scare from Louisville at home, 81-79. Elizabeth Kitley and Taylor Soule combined for 44 points, and Kitley hauled in 14 rebounds for the Hokies. Hailey Van Lith scored 29 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the Cardinals.
LOU 79, VATECH 81Virginia Tech vs. Miami: The Hurricanes defeated a Top 25 team for the second time this week, this time defeating the #9 Hokies, 77-66. Miami shot a good 53.1% from the floor for the game while holding Virginia Tech to just 40.0% shooting. Jasmyne Roberts started for Miami and came through with 23 points, shooting 5-7 from three-point range, and grabbing eight rebounds. Haley Cavinder scored 19 points, grabbed four rebounds, and dished out four assists. Elizabeth Kitley had 20 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocks for Virginia Tech.
VATECH 66, MIAFL 77Virginia vs. Virginia Tech: Despite not having impact players Elizabeth Kitley & Ashley Owusu, the No. 9 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies won a hard-fought game in this version of the Commonwealth Cup against rival Virginia, 74-66. Georgia Amoore led the way with 22 points on 4-10 shooting from three-point range while Taylor Soule added 18 points and 10 rebounds on her birthday! Camryn Taylor led the Cavaliers with 18 points in the loss.
UVA 66, VATECH 74North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech: In a battle of top 15 teams, the #7 Hokies defeated the #13 Tar Heels in a close contest, 68-65. With the score tied at 65, UNC fouled Georgia Amoore while shooting a three with 1.8 seconds left in the game. Amoore made all three free throws, and UNC failed to get up a potential game-tying shot. Amoore finished the game with 24 points and six assists. Elizabeth Kitley had 13 points and seven rebounds. Deja Kelly led North Carolina with 21 points, three rebounds, three steals, and three assists.
UNC 65, VATECH 68Virginia Tech vs. Clemson: The Clemson Tigers landed a huge upset knocking off No.7 Virginia Tech, 64-59. Amari Robinson paced the Tigers scoring 16 points and hauling in 9 boards. Ruby Whitehorn and Daisha Bradford combined for 25 points for Clemson. Elizabeth Kitley scored 14 points and snagged 6 rebounds for the Hokies, Cayla King chipped in 15 points.
VATECH 59, CLEM 64Virginia Tech vs. High Point: The No.8 Hokies showed up and showed out on the road at High Point, emerging victorious, 86-66.
