Bedard looks good in spring start

Mar 5, 2009 - 11:28 PM PEORIA, Arizona (Ticker) -- Howie Kendrick homered and Jeff Mathis knocked in two runs as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim posted a 4-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Thursday.

Kendrick's solo homer in the sixth inning gave the Angels a 3-0 lead.

Mathis delievered a two-run double in the fourth.

Seattle starter Erik Bedard, trying to rebound from arm injuries which curtailed his 2008 campaign, pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
