Indians rough up Lee, blank Phillies
May 2, 2013 - 3:48 AMVideo
He may not want to return to Cleveland anytime soon.
Ryan Raburn had four hits and two RBI, while Asdrubal Cabrera added a two-run double in the Indians' 6-0 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in the finale of a brief two-game set.
Raburn has 12 hits in his last 14 at-bats.
Trevor Bauer (1-1) allowed just a hit over five scoreless innings, but did walk six for the Tribe, who have outscored their opponents 39-5 over their four-game winning streak.
"He attacked hitters when he had to with really good stuff," Indians manager Terry Francona said of Bauer.
Lee (2-2) surrendered five runs -- four earned -- on nine hits and two walks over six frames to absorb the loss.
Lee started his career with the Indians in 2002 and won the American League Cy Young Award with them in 2008 when he went 22-3 with a 2.54 ERA in 31 starts. The Indians, though, dealt him to the Phillies prior to the trade deadline the following season.
The left-hander went 83-48 with a 4.01 ERA in 182 career starts with the Indians.
Domonic Brown had two of the Phils' three hits. Philly went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.
"We had chances ... just couldn't knock them in," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said.
Cleveland opened the scoring with a run in the second, added three in the third and plated one apiece in the fifth and seventh innings.
Carlos Santana worked a one-out walk and advanced to third on Raburn's single before scampering home on Mike Aviles' sacrifice fly to left in the second.
With one away and runners on first and second in the third, Cabrera lined a missile down the left-field line to push Michael Brantley and Jason Kipnis across. Cabrera scored three batters later when Raburn reached on his slow roller down the third-base line.
Raburn hit a two-out RBI double in the fifth and Drew Stubbs' two-out, run- scoring infield base hit in the seventh gave the Tribe a 6-0 margin.
Game Notes
Cleveland's Nick Swisher missed his second straight game with a sore shoulder ... The Indians went 6-for-16 with runners in scoring position ... Cleveland has tallied 59 hits during its four-game stretch.
