White Sox take down Indians

Ezequiel Carrera made a crucial error in the sixth inning and the White Sox plated another run in the seventh as a result of two Indians errors.
Mark Teahen had an RBI single and Juan Pierre chipped in with a double for the White Sox, who have won back-to-back games after dropping three of their previous four.
Edwin Jackson (7-7) worked six solid innings to earn the win, giving up a pair of runs on five hits while walking three and striking out three.
"It wasn't the best-looking performance, but it was a battle," Jackson said. "We had a chance to capiltalize on a couple of mistakes they made and it definitely helped us."
Sergio Santos worked around a walk to record the final two outs of the game and earn his 20th save of the season.
Travis Hafner and Carrera came up with RBI singles for the Indians, who have lost four consecutive games.
Justin Masterson (8-7) went seven innings in defeat, giving up four runs -- one earned -- on four hits while fanning six and walking one.
"We just have to go out there and continue to battle," Masterson said. "I felt like I did what I needed to do and I can't really do much more than that."
Chicago was gifted the lead in the sixth thanks to an error by Carrera in center field. Omar Vizquel singled to start the inning and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Pierre. After Alexei Ramirez fanned, Cleveland elected to walk Paul Konerko and face the struggling Adam Dunn. Dunn lofted a fly ball to center, which Carrera seemed to have a beat on, but missed and the ball dropped, allowing two runs to score for a 3-1 White Sox lead.
The Indians made it a one-run game at 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth. Asdrubal Cabrera walked to lead off the inning and came around to score from first on a single by Hafner.
Chicago padded its lead in the seventh on two errors. Alex Rios reached on an error by Cabrera, stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error by Carlos Santana. Teahen made the Indians pay for their defensive miscues by slapping an RBI single to right for a 4-2 advantage.
Earlier, the White Sox manufactured a run in their first at-bat when Pierre led off the game with a double, advanced to second on a well-placed sacrifice bunt by Ramirez and scored on a groundout by Konerko.
Travis Buck walked to lead off the Indians third and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Carrera to give the Tribe a runner in scoring position with one down. They were unable to get him in however, as Jackson got Michael Brantley and Cabrera to groundout to second to end the inning.
Cleveland tied the game at one in the fifth. Matt LaPorta slapped a one out single and moved into scoring position on a groundout by Buck. Carrera followed and plated LaPorta with an RBI single to right.
