Rain postpones White Sox-Yankees game
May 16, 2007 - 2:29 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Chicago White Sox's opening game of a three-game series with the New York Yankees on Tuesday was postponed due to rain.The game will be made up Wednesday as part of a split doubleheader starting at 2:05 p.m. EDT. The second game will start at its regularly scheduled time of 8:11 p.m. EDT
New York's Mike Mussina (2-1, 4.76 ERA) will face Chicago rookie John Danks (1-4, 4.33) in the first game. Chien-Ming Wang (1-3, 5.40) opposes Jose Contreras (3-3, 3.79) in the evening contest.
It is the Yankees' second rainout this season and the first for the White Sox.
