Sep 11, 2012 - 2:34 PMVideo
Bumgarner lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday, as he allowed four runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings to drop him to 14-10 on the year to go along with a 3.15 ERA. After pitching to a 1.93 ERA in his previous eight starts, Bumgarner has yielded four runs each of his last three times out.
"I didn't feel that good tonight," Bumgarner said after the game. "I just tried to pitch with what I had, get through some innings, keep us in the game. You have games like that throughout the year, where you don't feel like you have any life on your ball."
Bumgarner beat the Rockies the last time he faced them and has posted a 0.66 ERA in winning his last four against the Rockies. He is 4-3 with a 1.88 ERA in nine starts against them.
He's also allowed one run in each of his last three starts at Coors Field, winning each.
Colorado will counter with righty Jhoulys Chacin, who is 2-5 with a 4.50 ERA. Chacin absorbed the loss on Thursday in Atlanta, despite giving up just one unearned run and seven hits in 3 1/3 frames. He also walked three in the loss.
Chacin is 3-4 lifetime against the Giants with a 3.30 ERA in eight games (7 starts).

White gave up just one run on six hits with a pair of strikeouts and Guillermo Moscoso (2-1) claimed the win with two innings of relief work. Rafael Betancourt tossed a perfect ninth to secure his 28th save of the season.
Chris Nelson clubbed an RBI triple and Josh Rutledge added an RBI double for the Rockies, who were swept in a three-game set over the weekend by the Philadelphia Phillies. Jordan Pacheco contributed an RBI in the victory.
Buster Posey belted a two-run homer and Hunter Pence blasted a solo shot for the Giants, who took two of three from the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend and still lead the NL West by five games.
Ryan Vogelsong (12-8) absorbed the loss after yielding four runs on six hits over five innings.
"He's one of our guys, he's going to be out there," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. "We have all the confidence in the world in him."
