Astros manager Hinch ejected after replay challenge in fifth
Aug 16, 2015 - 1:08 AM HOUSTON (AP) Houston manager A.J. Hinch was ejected following a replay review in the fifth inning of the Astros' game against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. The review came after Astros outfielder Preston Tucker made an apparent sliding, inning-ending catch on a line drive by Ian Kinsler. Detroit asked for a review, and umpires overruled the grab. Anthony Gose, who was on second base, was awarded home.
Hinch came out to argue with home plate umpire and crew chief Bill Miller and was ejected. It was the second time Hinch has been ejected this season, with the first coming June 20 at Seattle for arguing a replay challenge.
Detroit led 1-0 after five innings.
