Brewers, Marlins meet in rubber match

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Brewers and Florida Marlins meet in the rubber game of a three-game series Sunday.

After getting blanked, 3-0, in the series opener, the Brewers rebounded for a 4-3 triumph Saturday. Prince Fielder's solo homer in the eighth inning proved to be the difference.

Hoping to hand Florida back-to-back losses for the first time since April 17-18, the Brewers will send rookie Manny Parra (1-1, 5.40 ERA) to the mound. The 25-year-old lefthander gave up three runs over five frames while not factoring in the decision against St. Louis on Tuesday.

The Marlins counter with Ricky Nolasco (1-2, 5.91), who will hope to avoid his third loss in as many starts. The righthander yielded three runs in six innings Tuesday, suffering a 3-2 setback to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Hanley Ramirez led of Saturday's contest with his eighth home run of the season. He also leads Florida with a .337 batting average and 18 RBI.
